Join us on the Saint's Trail
We’re so glad you’re here! At St Peter and St John’s, we come together to celebrate God’s love and share in worship. Everyone is welcome, no matter where you are on your spiritual journey.
We offer three types of Sunday services, including our Sung Eucharist, which takes place twice a month:
Arrival: You’ll be welcomed by a Church Warden or sidesperson, who will give you a hymn book, notice sheet, and service booklet.
Seating: Sit anywhere you like in the nave. Children are very welcome, and we have sensory bags and colouring materials available for them.
Procession & Music: The service starts with a hymn, during which a cross and candles are carried in procession, followed by the choir, clergy, and priest. Our small choir helps lead the singing of hymns and worship songs.
Sermon & Prayers: The sermon may explain the readings or reflect on our faith. We then share prayers for the Church, the world, our local community, those in need, and those who have died.
Sharing of the Peace: The congregation share a sign of peace with a wave or handshake.
Offering & Eucharist: During a hymn, the collection is taken, and we move to the Eucharist. Communion is shared, or you can receive a blessing if you prefer.
Closing: The service ends with a hymn, a blessing, and a procession, while the organist plays a closing voluntary.
After the service, please join us for refreshments at the rear of the church—it’s a great chance to chat and meet others.
Don’t worry if you’re not sure what to do—someone will always help. Just come as you are, and join in the worship and fellowship.
The current mass setting we are using is the Mass of Creation.
We sing the:
Gloria
Sanctus
Agnus Dei
